「日本通」

涼子と社長達は満開の桜の花の下、イギリスから研修に来たサー・オッペンハイマー
の従姉の子に当る、デヴィッド・L・ロスを囲んでいた。彼はイギリスの大手商社に
勤め、日本通で通っていた。
「満開の桜もいいけど、桜は此処の所が美しいと聞いています。」
驚く程流暢な日本語で話す彼は、桜の木の幹の際を指差した。
「・・・そこって・・どこですか？」
戸惑いながら涼子が聞いた。
知らないのかという顔をして、彼が答えた。
「チェリーぎわ。」





Bob is operating his son's note-type computer on the dinning table.
His son, Mike is eating a bowl of corn flakes for the breakfast.
Bob ”Mike, I want use your application program. But the dialog says
I need the serial number. Tell me the number.”
Mike ”Oh, no Dad! You should've asked a little early. I just pour
a milk on it. I can't count cereal any more.”
